Fundamental Course Unit 3 - Resilience

Resilience This Experience explores resilience — or our ability to recover when things do not go as planned. Resilience is important because it keeps us on track until we reach our goals|and it allows us to bounce back from difficult situations. Three Essential Elements support Resilience|all of which are associated with the “Personal Skills” component of the SkillsUSA Framework. Self-Motivation: Having self-motivation means you stay focused on the bigger picture. When you experience setbacks|you are able to bounce back because you keep your larger goals in mind. Adaptability/Flexibility: Being adaptable and flexible means you are open to changing your original plan when something does not go how you intended. Work Ethic: Having a strong work ethic means you are dedicated to doing a good job on the task at hand because you understand the importance and benefit of work.
